The MIYAA Planning Committee understands that one of the large benefits of our annual Awards Gala is the in-person dialogue and celebrations. However, given the COVID-19 situation, we would still like to provide an opportunity for Indigenous youth to gather and celebrate virtually. We felt it was important to come together in 2021, as it will be some time before we are able to gather again.
After thoughtful consideration, the MIYAA Planning Committee, have decided to proceed with 3 virtual Award Celebrations to honor MIYAA 2021 Recipients. We are also happy to announce that our host for MIYAA 2021 is Pembina Trails School Division.
